The Descent of Sampurna Kripa
In the constant flow of life, there are rare and sacred moments that transcend time, turning an ordinary home into a Divya-Teertha. Such was the Anugraha that descended upon our home in the “Royal City of Lakes – Udaipur” When Guruji graciously accepted our humble invitation to be a part of our 25th wedding anniversary celebration, we knew that this occasion is going to be elevated into something profoundly divine!
On the auspicious day of February 21st' 2026, with hearts overflowing in anticipation, I and my five years old son went to receive Guruji at the airport. That moment when Guruji set his feet on the land of Udaipur, was not merely a physical arrival; it was a descent of Kripa of the entire Guru-Mandala to elevate the kingdom of Mewar into a Teertha!
As Lord Shiva declares:
“गङ्गा काशी काञ्ची द्वारा मायाऽयोध्याऽवन्ती मथुरा । यमुना रेवा पुष्करतीर्थ न गुरोरधिकं न गुरोरधिकम् ॥“

Upon arrival at our home, Guruji was welcomed with the resonating percussion, the sacred sound of Shankha Nada, devotional Gujarati dance, garlands, and a gentle shower of flowers. Our humble abode transferred into a Divya Dhama with Guruji’s entry after Drishti Nivarana ritual and Poorna Kumbha offering by my Dharma-Patni.
Worship of the Living Supreme
During the sacred Abhijit Muhurta, we began the Guru-Shodashopachara Puja. The air vibrated with the chants of Bhadra Suktam, followed by a deeply moving recitation of Ganapati Atharvasheersham by my young son. Only a few months prior, Guruji had lovingly initiated him into this chant - and the child, by Guru’s grace, absorbed it effortlessly. Witnessing this was nothing short of divine reassurance of Guru-Kripa!
We were further blessed when Guruji’s sacred Pada-Pankaja consecrated physical wooden Padukas we offered, which now reside permanently in our Puja room!
Following the Guru-Puja, Shrilakshmi Amma - my revered Guru-Bhagini and Guruji’s Vara-Shishya, who had obliged to accompany Guruji from Bangalore - was offered Suvasini-Puja. Her graceful acceptance of Puja was nothing less than the maternal grace of Shri Laksmyamba!
At this divine juncture, not just my extended family but also our friends, neighbours, well-wishers and fellow disciples - were blessed by Guruji amidst the powerful chanting of Rudram, Purusha Suktam and Shri Suktam. The ceremony concluded with the sacred Guru-Prasadam meant for all.
An evening of joy and celebration
The Chandi Homa
The following day, we performed a Chandi-Homa at an ancient Shivalaya - over 600 years old, deeply connected to the dynasty of the Mewar kings, nestled between a serene forest and a sacred waterbody, called “Neelkanth Mahadev Mandir”.
With Guruji offering the Purnahuti, blessings flowed abundantly upon around 150 fortunate attendees and devotees, who also partook the sacred Chandi-Prasadam!
A Moment of Quiet Illumination and Transformation
In the divine presence of Shiva and Parvati, something extraordinary unfolded!
Guruji bestowed:
· A Guru-Mantra upon my young son
· Progressive Srividya Mantras upon my wife
· A Diksha-Patta along with Guru-Gotra upon me
In that sacred moment, amidst the living presence of Chandi-Agni, all three of us were spiritually reborn! Could this be anything less than the Punya-Phala of countless past-life merits of us manifesting simultaneously?!
Pilgrimage with the Embodied Divine
The next morning, we proceeded for Darshanam of Shri Eklingji temple - an eighth century Shiva temple established by Bappa Rawal and revered as the ruling deity of Mewar. Despite repeated attempts over several days, special access had eluded us. Yet, by Guruji’s grace, we were miraculously granted Vishesha Darshana permission through the royal passage the same moment we started our journey towards!
From there, we headed to Jain temple at Ranakpur - a 15th century marvel, renowned for its timeless architecture, built under the patronage of Rana Kumbha. We witnessed symmetry carved in marble symbolizing cosmic order and immeasurable divine bliss within. Nearby, Sun temple, once worshipped by Mewar royals, was the next. Sri Aditya Hridaya Stotra chanted by Shrilakshmi Amma in the sanctum has become the lasting divine memory! Guruji in-person imparted precious life-lessons to me and my wife at the very Sopana of the Sun temple!
It felt as though Lord Surya himself was speaking through Guru-Mukha - guiding our Grihastha Dharma toward fulfillment!

Seva in Royal Splendour
As an offering of Rajochita Seva, we humbly invited Guruji for dinner at the historic Taj Fateh Prakash Palace, once a part of Mewar royal residence. The evening filled with the spiritual conversation with Guruji was an experience past what language can capture!
The Farewell - Union in Spirit
As the time came to bid farewell; hearts grew heavy, words fell short and silence communicated the devotion! The pain of physical departure was softened by the profound gratitude we felt. What we received in last four days was neither ordinary nor temporary! Guruji did not leave us!
He remained:
· In the sanctified space of our home - our hearts
· In Padukas that radiate his eternal presence and grace of Guru-Mandala
· In the teachings guiding us through Grihasthashrama and Purna-Dampatya
· In the path of Srividya that now illuminates our lives
· In the boundless compassion that continues to protect and uplift us
And alongside Guruji, the gentle, ever-flowing benevolence and love of Shrilakshmi Amma remains a constant blessing!

A speck of dust, at the lotus feet of Sri Atmanandanatha Guruji

That evening, a social dinner gathering was organised to celebrate our silver jubilee. In an act of boundless compassion, Guruji graced the occasion without hesitation!
Shrilakshmi Amma’s graceful participation in traditional dances of Gujarat and Rajasthan was not performance - it was Ananda in motion!
